Coordination with the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC)
            In 1980, WVO had joined the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) as co-founder member. At present, the members of VECONAC comprise of 10 countries in ASEAN region that are Brunei Darussalam, Kingdom of Cambodia, Republic of Indonesia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Republic of Philippines, Republic of Singapore, Thailand and Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The VECONAC country members will rotate for hosting the General Assembly as well as VECONAC President will also be rotated in each term. In this connection, VECONAC had been officially affiliated with ASEAN since 1988, therefore it shall enjoy ASEAN privileges such as using the name “ASEAN” and display the official ASEAN emblem in correspondence and communications and its official meetings.
